Nevada draw 2026

My son got a cow elk in 62, and a buck tag in 101. I got a buck tag in 72. My younger brother got blanked. But he had a bull elk and a buck tag last year so it’s our turn. We all try to go on these trips together, but it’s a little tough to do three hunts over six week window on the other side of the state. Anyway gonna try real hard to make it to all three hunts.

Good problem to have.

Northeast Unit 72/74/75 third choice rifle pronghorn. A nice year to draw as I have no Sept elk tag. Will add an activity to combo an Utah scouting trip wife & I had planned. And her first Yellowstone NP visit. Now glad I chose to save my CO pronghorn points. Aug 22-Sept 7. First Western hunt since I retired. Intend to milk this for all it’s worth.

if only there was a way, to pay you for this planning service.
Good reason 80% what I do is AFTER the tags are drawn. 🤣

On a serious note - I may have built anticipation in my brain for this tag, but I did a podcast talking about backup plans to this very scenario on February 7th. Contingencies are to be expected at this point in the western hunting game.

Shouldn’t have built so much anticipation. 🤣 blanked on 4 of the easiest mule deer archery hunts to draw with a handful of points. So she goes.
It's been wild to see the draw odds for the "garbage" archery deer hunts decrease so much. NV is the poster child for what all the R3 did for western hunting.

It almost reminds me why I HATE the way NV conducts it's draw. It's is awful.

But, I've had 2 tags in NV and can't wait to have another!!!

First year throwing in an application for mule deer in NV. Picked units with pretty minimal research just based on how cool I thought the terrain looked as a flatlander. Pulled 101-109 early archery. First ever western tag drawn. Oh boy do I have a lot to figure out in 2 months
