I have been using an Exped for the last several years. But I've stacked in some needed muscle and the mummy shape isn't doing it for me. My feet always fall off the end and get cold too.

Looks like the Nemo is now the new king for a late season UL pad. Something for November in Montana.

Anyone tried one yet?

I have used mine a good bit. I like it. It is a touch noisier than my older insulated version (replaced by the all season version) but not much. If you like how the tensor pads feel then you will like it fine.

It’s a quality piece of equipment. Compact, relatively light. R7 insulation is definitely better than older versions but, depending on how warm you sleep, may still leave you wanting in sub freezing temps. I like to have a buffer like a fleece sheet between me and the pad for that. I don’t find it to be too crinkly or loud at all and I’m a light sleeper. The “puff sack” inflation is genius and functional. Nemo warranties are bomber should it ever come to that.

Tensor extreme has 8.5 R value. Hoping it's enough, upgraded to it this year but haven't tried it yet.

I used it all of last season, early in the spring shed hunting into late November in CO and MT. It is great, comfy, very warm and light. Also, pretty durable so far. I use it with a Borah bivy and have 0 issues.

The only negative I could see for bigger guys or those that are very particular is the thickness coupled with a regular width you can fall off pretty easy. I'm a pretty thin guy, so regular works for me, but be aware.

I run the predecessor, the Tensor Alpine. It’s my perfect pad except for maybe a little warm in the summer. I’ve considered swapping it out for an extreme and the less insulated model, but I just can’t see ever getting rid of my alpine. It’s my favorite piece of gear.
