I have a Leica 2400CRF. I’ve tried several pouches and am still looking. I’m a Bowhunter so above all else the pouch needs to be quiet and allow easy in and out without excess movement. Any recommendations?

I’ve tried:

Kuiu- too small and tight

FHF - too noisy and a bit snug

Marsupial - too noisy

I run my sig kilo in an FhF Montana gps pouch. Gives me extra room for my fat fingers. As far as noise, I am not sure how it stacks up. I usually try to have the rangefinder out out of the pouch before that becomes an issue.

One of the reasons I ended up with a Vortex. Yeah, they’re crap blah, blah, but I dig that little pocket clip. And the warranty.

Probably the worst reasons to buy anything. But oh well.

Search in the gear modification forum, there is a post about modifying (cutting down the elastic) the Kuiu rangefinder case to make it more functional. Made the pouch much nicer and saved me some coin.

Will do, but I must admit, I’m not a tinkerer with gear. I like stuff that works properly and as designed without monkeying with it. If it won’t work for me I send it on down the road! Especially with this piece. I don’t know how to sew, have no interest in learning how, and would only make a mess if I started cutting it up.

I guess what I’m looking for here is the long shot that someone has used my same rangefinder with success out of a pouch that is quiet.

Their website is woefully lacking in detail on how the attachment system or the lid works. It says a simple bungee closure for the lid. That can mean a lot of things. Can you open and close it one handed?

I use the mystery ranch quick draw i think its called. I did a little modification, but overall its nice for me. Stiff enough, but leaves enough range finder material to grab and pull quickly.

The Marsupial is loud if you let it snap back when closing. Took me a while to find the magnet on the bottom. It holds the lid open when you are on a stalk. Super quiet and convenient.

MRanch works well, easy one hand, quiet to pull in and out but the outside material will make some noise if a branch scrapes over it (same material as the pack I think). Not sure if the Oregon is bigger than my Leupold RF
