I recently got a new Kifaru timberline pack. I need some help with it. It pulls really hard on the chest strap and the shoulder straps dont touch my shoulders. Hope this makes sense. Thanks Hunt

How are you putting the pack on? Have you watched Patrick's video on YouTube on how to install a pack?

What happens when you loosen the sternum strap? It shouldn't be tight unless you tighten it. Right?

Sounds like you may need to adjust your shoulder straps, kifaru has a video on how to do that. Sounds like they are set too big and so the whole pack is leaning backwards and that is why it feels like the sternum strap is pulling hard.

There is usually a small gap on mine too. I can cinch the straps down an remove the gap but then there is more weight on my shoulders

^^^This. If the gap is small (ie. 1/2-1/4"), you are good. It's really easy to make this either go away or make it larger. Just tighten or loosen the shoulder straps before tightening the load lifters.

And calling "the field rep" would probably be useful.
