Can anyone please help me identify this elk call that my dad has and loves?
He killed his first bull with one so its a special piece. This one is in good shape but I want to find another one for a special mount.

This one makes a very high pitch flutey whistle.

Anybody got experience with old school elk calls?

My dad had the same call. I cannot remember the name and haven’t seen one in many years. I’ll look and see if I still have it.

I actually found one of those in Wyoming a couple years ago, It was about 40 yds from an old skull capped elk head. I'm not sure if it was just a coincidence or if the lucky hunter dropped it during the field dressing/pack out. It's pretty cool though, I have it hanging on the tine of a euro mount.

That looks like 1/2” natural gas flex pipe. I have no doubt a company sold them with the little wood ends, but next time you’re at Home Depot coil up a short gas line and give it a blow.

I would say it was my dads, but he's like me and too stubborn to cap them so he carries all the extra weight out lol

Man I wonder if a guy could build one and have something that nobody else is running around the woods with...

There are multiple diameters and lengths - you could have the only one on the mountain just like that! 🙂 Unfortunately the funny high pitch was never a good producer compared to anyone who could operate a diaphragm call, or they would still be around.

Makes me want to stick one in the truck to play around with. Lol
