Need help finding pants for Thunder Thighs

I’ve been sporting Prana Zion Convertibles for years and like them. I wanted some regular (non-convertible) pants, so I predictably ordered some Prana Zion regular Pants. They are like skinny jeans on my thighs and fit nothing like the convertibles. Either the non-convertible style is different or they changed the cut over the past couple of years. I’m looking for the closest pants I can get to the Zions, since I really like them. They need to have a generous thigh (I have an athletic physique, with thunder thighs). Also not looking to spend more than $60, so probably not buying from a hunting company. Any suggestions? Not sure if the other offerings from Prana are a different cut and I’ve not tried any other pants in years. I wear Obsidians in Large with the waist taken in, and those thighs are about right. Ideas?

Zion has a straight fit and a Brion which is skinny fit, in addition to the regular fit.

First make sure you didn’t get the wrong ones. The regulars work for me but I have bigger thighs and have to go up a waist size from 38 to 40 to get the room I want in the seat and thighs. That belt thingy on the front lets me cinch the waist fine.

They are a tad heavier weight but sized for a man.
Maybe just a tiny hair louder, but not loud.
And they offer a great you dont like them return then policy.
I'd wear them hunting all time. But there a little to roomy for how I like my hunting pants.

Roomier but the renegades I had were loud as heck.
More of a nylon shell type fabric not a stretch.
And they had a wierd double button flap like old school bdu pants.
Wouldn't suggest them at all for hunting.

Bummer. I’ll have to keep searching. The zions not fitting totally bummed me out. I HATE shopping for pants and I thought they would fit like the convertibles.

I run into the same issue with pants. In general, I've found that pants marketed as "tactical" will fit both my waist and thighs without deviating too much toward too baggy or too tight. I'm not an Under Armour proponent, but last year I landed on a few pairs of these ($50 on ebay) that did the trick. They most likely solve your thunder thighs issue, but as far as comparing them to Zions they're poly instead of nylon, no stretch, no belt. I think 5.11 makes a pair of stretch nylon pants, but haven't tried them so can't recommend.

Check out the Duluth flex pants I recommended earlier. Mite have to wait for a sale to get them under $60 but I think you'll love them.
I have regular and the burley flex in 36x32.
I can measure how wide they are mid thigh laying flat and you can compare that to some pants you like.
12" regulars burley are 13.

I've been waiting for a pair of under armor's to come in at bass pro that are the correct size/color. They have a pair of stretchy pants that fit me well in the thighs but aren't over sized in the waist. I believe they're called "enduro" pants.

Well the Kuhls pants are waaaay to skinny in the thighs. I tried on 5 different styles and they are all made for chicken legs. Also tried REI pants and they were better, but still not big enough in the thigh.

Hunt like a real man, buy a kilt

Hunting in a kilt is all fun and games until you walk through some waist-high cat claw. There’s no helping the boys after that... besides, I haven’t been able to find a kilt in fusion or optifade.

Not sure how big your thighs are, but I like the wrangler outdoor jeans. My thighs are pretty good sized and they work well for me. Cabelas mt050 stuff is way generous in the thighs as well.

I despise the current trend in pants. I bought some first lite knabs and they are even tight on my calves!
