Need help choosing a spotting scope

I bought a Kowa 773 out of Japan on EBay. It was within your budget including the eyepiece. A lot of people suggesting Swaro, the only downfall is no fine focus. I prefer the main and find focus of the Kowa instead of the barrel focus.

I’ve seen a few of those on eBay and have been very interested. Was it lightly used or brand new? Any issues buying from them?

Maven usually goes on sale during Amazon prime days if you want to wait a bit. I got mine new on sale for $650 a couple years ago. I love it, and probably will never upgrade it. but I also haven’t compared it to the other spotters you listed.

I can’t remember honestly. If it was used it was very slightly used because it looked brand new. I made the seller a few offers and they knocked the price down quite a bit.
