Need a new wallet

you want to get rid of back pain, get rid of the leather wallet. No kidding. Go nylon and your pain will be gone. A naturopathic chiropractor turned me on to that......

I've been carrying a Saddleback Leather wallet for years. Lifetime warranty and built like a damn tank. The older it gets, the better it looks. Can't say enough about it.

There's a guy on Kenai somewhere that makes wallets from chum skin. I was skeptical, but I bought one when he came down for a craft show a few years ago and my Wife drug me along. Dang nice wallet and it's going strong years later. Don't know his name, but he's been around. I bet you could google him.

Saddleback here too. One minimalist and large bi-fold. Will last longer than me I suspect.

Thanks I'm going to take a look at all the suggestions and try to pick one out.

If you don't want leather check out the recycled sail cloth wallets made by ragged edge or flow fold. They weigh almost nothing, are very thin, and are made in the USA.

You have to rethink that leather wallet! A leather wallet is akin to a shiny wood stock and polished blued steel - not synthetic and and stainless. :)

Seriously, as has been said thank about a minimalist approach. There are a lot of benefits, not the least of which is weight and bulk. I'll never buy regular wallet again. I use a simple "band-it 3.0" and couldn't be more happy.

I just ditched a leather wallet and started using a ROCO mimimalist wallet. Two thin pieces of metal and a silicone band. Absolutely love it and it requires me to rethink carrying so much stuff with me. No more leather wallets for me!

Not to high jack the thread but I've been throwing the idea around of the original trayvax wallet. I'm just not sure I'm ready to go that minimal in what I carry. That being said I do want to downsize some. I'm having some back pain on the side I carry my wallet and am thinking of slimming down some. How much do they hold. I need my DL, work ID, a couple bills, credit cards and I guess my health insurance card. Is that to much in one of those?

I can't speak to the Original specifically, but I have a similar complement in my Element.

Use Samsung Bill pay from your phone for your card. Carry a money clip for dl and cash.

Ive had very good luck with the Fire Hose wallet from Duluth Trading Company. It is soft and has held up very well. Broken in nice like a catchers glove. Just keeps getting better.
