NE Montana deer hunters

I'm thinking about making a trip out to the Scobey MT area to do some coyote hunting this next week. It'll be the opening week of the ND deer gun season so the ground I usually hunt will most likely be covered in orange and the coyotes will be getting pushed all over the place. So for anyone who hunts or is familiar with the NE portion of Montana what should I expect to see out there this time of the year as far as deer hunting pressure goes? I'd plan on hunting public land along with gaining access to private property. I can work with a few guys hear and there out deer hunting but if its a massive amount of guys it definitely doesn't work too well for calling coyotes. Any bit of insight that can be offered is much appreciated. Thanks guys

Cant speak much for the scobey area but I havent hunted a little west of there and I was able to get away from other hunters fairly easily. Lots of coyotes where I hunted, shot 2 just deer hunting. Fwiw I live in nw north dakota and with the limited tags being issued there arent many people out gun hunting.

I don't hunt that far east, but most locals road hunt so I wouldn't think that would hurt your chances. I know that when I am on the east side of the mountains, I see plenty of coyotes when I am truck scouting and such during big game season. I'm not sure how much luck you will have getting on private, but there should be plenty of other opportunity. Also, most guys don't get far from the road if they do walk. I am generalizing here - not everyone truck hunts, but many do. Also, if you go during the week, there will be less people out and about in general as compared to the weekend. Good luck and kill a bunch.

Thanks for the pointers guys, much appreciated. I'll definitely give ND a look on my with through as well, probably won't be too bad due to the shortage of deer tags. Always look forward to exploring new ground though!
