Can you borrow some from someone to try for extended test.
I bought Vipers and the image is bright and sharp, but they gave me headaches.
Hard to know if they'll work for hours after a quick look through.

Anybody I hunt with doesn't believe in using higher end stuff...haha. They all have the same binos as me, or less. My local stores only carry Vortex and Leupold. I'm familiar with the Vortex, but always thought there would be better out there.

If you decide to look at 8x. The Athlon Midas 8x42 is really nice. Affordable and very wide FOV.

Athlon Cronus is a step above the Midas which themselves punch much above their price. Vortex Razors would be in the next higher bracket.

Monarch HG's, used. Great glass and super lightweight bino's. I'm going to list mine soon, I just moved to range finding bino's, but love the weight, form function and glass on the Monarch's.

I ended up picking up a pair of Athlon Cronus G2 UHD. Very happy with them. It's so strange to me when I compare them to the Vortex Diamondback. It's like getting glasses for the first time... you don't realize how bad your eyes are until you can see the difference...haha.

Thank you all for the input, but I want to keep the thread alive in case someone else is asking themselves the same question I did.
