I picked up some quickspin vanes not knowing that they are to be fleched straight. Just wondering if its worth getting a straight fletcher? And if
anyone was using them on their set up? Can they be shot out of a whisker biscuit? Will it be able to stabilize a larger fixed broad head? Do you get better accuracy out of the quickspins?

I've used the 2" Speed Hunters almost exclusively for the past 7 years.......great vanes. You don't want to use them with a whisker biscuit because of the kicker on the vane. And they don't have to be fletched perfectly straight. I use a slight right offset. You definitely should not fletch them left however, because the kicker is designed for straight or right. Fletching straight will give you the least amount of drop at further distances. Which size did you get? The Speed Hunters have been adequate for most fixed blades that I use which have been or are 125gr Shuttle T's, Strikers, Wac'ems, Silverflames, and Slick Tricks.

You can fletch them Right helical also. The 4" do a great job stabilizing a big ol' Snuffer (260g) out of my recurves. Mind you, I am not cracking 200fps but the definitely spin that arrow!

Thanks for the advice 5milesback and Steve O. I got the 2" vanes and was worried about the little kicker on the vane going through my whisker biscuit. I think that I'll fletch a few up for my girlfriens' set up since she has a drop away rest and see how fly for her.
