Just wondering how their sizing works. I know they have a size chart and instructions on their website, but I wanted to know what everyones real life experience is. Im 6'1" 240lb with a spare tire of sorts. working on that aspect. anyways I wear typically a 36-38x32 pant. however most of us seem to not wear paints up 2 fingers below our belly button as they suggest measuring 2fingers below belly button. so I am wondering if I would be more along the lines of a Large MR pack or an XL pack.

I use a mystery ranch (size large). I’m 5’9” 190 so not exactly mister fitness. The large fits me perfect, there’s some room to grow but not much. Not sure if that helps.

Almost forgot I wear 36” waist pants.

Makes me feel like I may need an xl belt. Was looking at the pintler and the pop up 28.

Pop up belt is pretty small. I'm a 38 and topped out the xl belt. It fit but I ended up with a 6" belt extension to get a the fit I like.

I am 6’2 and 270 with a 40” waist and 50” chest. After talking to MR they suggested I get a xxl. I also have a 21” torso and there is barely any lift from the load lifters. My son is 6’5 with a 23” torso and the lifters are equal to slightly low on him. With more than50 pounds he gets pins and needles in his hands. I can comfortably carry 75 pounds in training.

I would say you are an xl size. What is your torso length?

I'm 6-1 205, and got the medium. I don't feel like it fits very well, it's too short so the load lifters are almost horizontal, and the belt doesn't have much room to spare. I'd for sure go for the L/XL if I had to do it again, and I'm a little smaller than you (no offense).

You would probably do well with a large. 5’10 185 and the medium is pretty much right for me. If I was 6’1 I think it would still fit but if I gained 30 lbs probably not. Definitely stay above a medium.

Im guessing you are right in between a L/XL. Either would probably work and hard to say if one better then the other. Their customer service has been really good for me, I would give them a call and see what they have to say.

I’m 5’8 and 190, I wear a 34” pant. A large popup 28 fits me well with the height adjustment cinched down. As others have said I feel like you might be right on the border line, I think you could make a large work but xl may be better.

MR only makes one size frame so if the load lifters are too low there is nothing that can be done but find a different brand pack that has taller load lifters. If you have less than a 21” torso you should be fine but at that length or longer IMO they should make a second frame that’s longer to accommodate us.

from what best I can tell torso is 21.25", 2 fingers below belly button is about 44, hip area around 42" and yet my pants which I wear as a normal person, not low they are typically 38s and no im not packed in them. yes I could be in better shape.

clothing store pants sizes usually run 3-5 sizes smaller than what you measure yourself. My waist measures 35-36 and I wear 32 in most jeans.

I wear a size 32 pant, but my waist measures 36. So I have Large belts on my MR Pintler and Marshall Packs. My 2 cents ...
