mystery ranch duffle

pulled the trigger. with a load cell to help organize this large duffle. ordered by phone , very pkleasant experience, was told couple days before shipping but received email from ups saying its in the system. thanks to all for encouraging words.

have the cabelas guide duffle with wheels and pull out handle. has zip bottom to keep stuff like boots separate from inside. bought the biggest they had and it holds so much stuff you can hardly lift it when full. great for an extended trip like when i would take two weeks and go west to shoot prairie dogs for few days and chase cutthroats for few days . every thing went in that bag including 4-5 fishing rods and reels and even the waders and boots in the bottom section. still use it today to store clothes that are seldom used. just too big for a weekend trip to moms. see its on sale

These bags are pretty durable. The only downside is I don't like the seperated compartments as its hard to put backpacks and consolidate other gear when flying to your hunts. Cabela's once had a great wheeled duffle bag. It was large enough to put in my Barney pack plus all my other gear for backpack hunts. But after 11 years of service and over a million air miles, I had to replace it. Of course, Cabela discontinued it and replaced it with their rip cord series bags. I found them to be pretty weak and the material didn't feel durable to stand up to air travel. I used it on one overseas trip and retired it out of fear it would far apart. I'm now using the Filson extra large wheeled duffel and while durable, still doesn't stack up as well as my first Cabelas bag. I've yet to find a bag at any cost that matches that first Cabela's bag. Good robust luggage is hard to come by.
