I friggin' box from Kifaru arrived yesterday. I hadn't requested anything from Kifaru on my official Christmas list and there isn't anyone who could guide her to an item I want and don't already have. What the H___ is in this package??? Who told her to buy it??? She wouldn't know a woobie from Scoobie Doo. She went off list! OMG!!!! What is it??? I need another drink. Curiosity is killing me. I can hear the blood vessels in my head. Aughh!

Exactly the same situation here! I am very particular about my gear and she understands that about me if nothing else actually she probably knows this better than anyone else since I always somehow convince her to sew me something new or modify what I Have.

I place items in a cart and email her a link to it. How she got it in her head to go off list is beyond me. I cannot imagine what she's select but she also said she got the right color. LOL

I went through all the same trouble. I even had to find retailers that had my item in stock and emailed them and posted them to her wall on facebook..... I NEVER FACEBOOOK ANYTHING!!!!!

Exactly the same situation here! I am very particular about my gear and she understands that about me if nothing else actually she probably knows this better than anyone else since I always somehow convince her to sew me something new or modify what I Have.

This is why my wife will never get me anything...... BLessing and a curse. If i want it she knows that i will just buy it.

Now on a second thought. I have been dragging packs and bags to her to get sewn and every time she passes. But yet she spends probally about 30 hours a week doing quilts and the like. Her projects you know. Why cant she just slide mine in there some where.

Well this got me thinking!!! (bad idea) I went out and bought her a new sewing machine. She has been using moms hand-me-downs. She is way over due. Maybe a little bribery will work in my favor. So under our tree right now is a fully loaded sewing machine!!!!

Again i ask you! Do you think im going to get what i want......

HELL NO!!!!

But it cant hurt. OH and by the way, you guys who think that this is a good idea, stop in some time and look what a quality sewing machine costs. not the one on the shelf at your local craft store, but a quality one. I could have had some Razor binos in my stocking for it and its nowhere the one her mom just bought. A fully loaded custom rifle could have been hiding under there my tree for what she spent.

buying a sewing machine for the better half is like giving her a vacuum. Practical or not, its a bad idea. You're a brave man. Its a much safer bet to focus on a gift that deals with the 4C's. That is always a sure winner and sets you up for getting yourself nice toy as how can she say no.
