My Son got his First Squirrel

My Son got his first squirrel the other day, actually got his first three!! lol.

It was a very memorable day because he got to kill them while hunting with his papaw and myself. Can't ask for a better time than that! His papaw's squirrel dog treed 9 of them and we got 5, if you havent squirrel hunted with dogs, you need too!! Its a very fun way to small game hunt!!

Nice. My lab tags along sometimes. He's starting to figure out whats going on and will scent check trees as we're walking around. Having him around seems to pin the squirrels down. They don't go running to the nearest hollow tree like they do when I go solo.

I bought him a single shot 410 Charles Daley earlier this year to start out on. I have a youth 20 gauge waiting on him to get big enough to aim, right now he doesn't have the arm reach/strength to hold the auto 20 up just yet

My son is 9 and killed his first earlier this year. With the kids having issues holding up the gun, I bought a primos trigger stick. My some used the monopod to kill his and I actually ended up buying the tripod version. It has been a huge asset for him. We’ll worth the money.

Funny u should mention that, lol. He was 3 for 3 as well, and notice i said we treed 9 and got 5, so lets just say myself and papaw weren't 3 for 3 LOL, and that was pointed out on the way home
