Nice rifle also! Hit us with some details on it and the load and how the bullet did and what not! There had to have been some of the most unreal nerves you’ve ever experienced to wiff at 300 yards. Did the shot go high? Glad you were able to pull it together ASAP and hammer him .

I was pretty sure they didn't know that ram was where he was so it was pretty easy to write them off. Haha

The rifle is a tikka action with an 18" ace barrel chambered in 6 SAUM. With an xlr element 4.0. All the smith work was done by Long Range Customs in Postfalls, ID.

The load is:
115 dtac
65.5gr n568
CCI 250
Velocity is around 3150fps

I didn't really do a necropsy on him, I was trying to hurry. But it was very effective with little to no damaged meat.

I pulled the shot to the right, really far right. Haha I'm glad I was able to recover quickly too.

Thank you sir, God has been very good to me. That hunt definitely drew me closer to Him, I felt like I was carrying a ton of bricks up that mountain with the pressure of a OIL tag. I knew for sure I would screw something up myself, like missing. Haha I'm thankful He got it all sorted out for me.
