Just wanted to share my first Piebald sighting here in Texas. I have been managing this low fence property for 3 years now and not sure where this guy came from. Just popped out this weekend and started hanging around a mature buck that frequents this area. You see some strange stuff down in South Texas but this was a shock coming down the sendero.

I would probably shoot him if I saw him. Just to get rid of that gene line.

He looks healthy enough to eat. I am sure he will be good for that.

Wouldn't want him on the property. There are some breeders in Wisconsin or Michigan that have a white line and piebald line deer they stock. If you want to do something like that it is probably worth a look. But I wouldn't inject those genetics into your herd, and I'd kill everyone one I'd see.

That’s a crazy looking buck! Given the genetic defects that piebalds usually express, I think you made the right decision. Thanks for sharing. Certainly don’t get to see that every day.

He sure has a diff look about him. I was wondering if it was a whitetail or not - head shape seems off.

Neat critter.
