As you guys know Im a bit of an adventurous type when it comes to gear. I have a Kifaru Tactical duplex(new version) and I bought a Exo Mountain gear 2000 bag for this year. I also worked a trade out for a Exo Mountain Horn Hauler along with my Exo Lid(Does not come with the Exo 2000) Im looking at close to 4500 Cubic inches give or take If I added the Kifaru Guide Lid it would be even more... Figured Id share my setup for you guys that like to get off the beaten path with the gear like I do. This setup if bought from Exo would be 350$ depending on your color preference. Exo 2000 200$ Horn Hauler 150$ It is about the perfect setup for me. Right now it has a Woobie and a 40 pound bag of sand in it. Will be testing out the load out with gear next. Carries like a dream on the Kifaru Frame.

I have the Horn Hauler attached on the edge of the frames with Ghooks

Photos taken with my new Pentax K-S2 DSLR Loving this Camera.

Enjoy.

That's a sweet setup. Like a Nomad, but in a more practical size. Good work.

That is a dang good idea. I like the looks of this setup. What are you doing for a water bladder? Inside the 2000ci pack? Between the pack and frame?

Waterbladder is inside the sleeve inside the 2000 but you can also add it to one of the wings if you so desire. Lots of options with this setup. Another nice thing is even though the wings cover the side pockets on the 2000 you have 2 more on outside on the wings. Steve and Lenny did a great job designing the Horn Hauler.

I really like my 3500 but I also like having more organization than just one big open bag. I like the idea of the batwings from the horn hauler plus the smaller pockets incorporated into the daypack. I bet with one of their load panels, lids, and the horn hauler you could have a nice day pack with meat hauling capabilities.

Looks great! What kind of loads are you expecting to handle with the ultra light frame? Debating between the U.L. And hunting platform. Think I will be pairing it with the 2000. Alan

Im not a young buck like some of the guys so I try to keep my loads to no more then 65-70 lbs. and that is depending on how far I need to pack it. I decided to go the tactical route because I like the stoutness of the Frame better then the Ultralight. Dont get me wrong both will get the job done but I like how the Tactical version feels. Personal preference.

Well thought out! I like it. Giving me some ideas for my 2000 when I order it.

Wow! An X2 that can handle heavy hauling. That might be the best pack design I've seen to date! Loving my 5500, but miss dumping my spike duffle with a couple buckles and heading out.

This is a sweet a$$ setup!! I purchased two large Kifaru Side Pockets that I was going to use the same way you have used the HH. I think you have inspired a new idea for me. I'll probably keep the Side Pockets for extra cubic inches and mainly use the HH with the 2000.

I also have a Guide Lid that I will be attaching to the K2 2000. Do I need extra buckles or anything for attachment?

SHTF- I am thinking of ordering the 2000. What do I need to attach it to my Kifaru frame? Thanks

Just saw this sorry about that you just need 2 sets of the Kifaru compression straps and 4 sets of the open ended SR Buckles. Pm me if you need any help.
