My good buddy played camera man for me in 24. He did a pretty good job of capturing the hunt. Figured you boys might enjoy it.
He did a good job showing the struggle of hunting the Montana hi-line. Low deer numbers and the pressure has gotten insane. Even having a lot of private to hunt it was an ass kicker of a hunt.
The second to last evening of the season the good Lord gave us a calm 7 mph wind from about 1:30. And a shot opportunity.
Impact cut the plumbing just above the heart.
156 Berger 6.5 PRC. Not sure on the impact velocity. Muzzle was a tad over 3000. Bullet performed perfectly.
As a blue collar dad with a ton of babies to feed it's pretty nice being able to go a little further in the last hour to put meat on the table.
