Nice write up! I will have to keep the fishing rod you mentioned in mind next time I am up there. Think that was the one thing I wished we would have had after we tagged out early in the trip as well.

Yeah, The tenkara rod is what I had! Only 4 ounces I think (maybe 6 ounces with lures and line etc). Worked great and was a lot more fun and effective than I thought it would be.

Thanks for sharing with us. The artic was my 1st hunt in ak. In 2001. Now I am planning my last, in the artic. Taking the grandson on a caribou hunt for his high-school graduation present, before he goes off to collage and jumps into the rat race .

That was really fun to read, thank for taking the time to share everything! Really brought back the memories of our last arctic bou hunt from four years ago.
