My 2013 Mountain Goat

I got back from y goat hunt last week. We tried to get it done with the bow but ended up using my guides rifle to take this 7 1/2 yr old British columbia Goat.

We flew in to a remote lake and after an all day hike made camp close to the top. It was really warm and in fact this was the only goat that we saw.

I killed him at 1 pm and we made our way back to the tent at 12 am.

What a trip and I would love to go back.

Beautiful goat! A friend of mine tried shooting his Idaho goat with a bow over several trips. He finally shot one with my father in laws rifle. I remember wondering how many miles my FIL carried that rifle "just in case" Good job!

Thanks Guys, I haven't scored him yet. We did age him at 7 1/2 and my guide said he was one of the biggest bodied Goats that he had seen in the area. It took all we had to drag him 20 feet for pictures

I cant wait to save up enough money to do it again, It may take several years but Im determined to do it again.
