Hey,

Always stumble into some mushroom while hunting and I like to make a small bag to put on my frame to be able to carry them if I find some.

Anyone of you made something like that or have some ideas?

Cheers

My wife uses the Seek Outside mesh talon for this. You can probably make something similar and more tailored to your own pack.

Oh yeah that’s what I use but if you put mushrooms in the talons all day they tend to be squish by the end of the day.

I sewed one for a nephew that was like an expedition rollypolly, a fold up dump pouch. Idk if I have a pic anywhere.

I just use a mesh / drawstring-top produce bag that we got from a fancy grocery store for $1. It weighs less than an ounce, takes up essentially zero space. Used it just the other day. I dont have a way to attach it outside my pack, but have never really needed that, so havent really looked for a better solution.

We never find enough morels to need more than the space in a jacket pocket.

In the wintertime we'll go out with bags (and three kids, with one gun between all of us) and collect oysters and dry them for soups.

Please don't tell me there are edible/tasty mushrooms in the Colorado mountains in October. It'll ruin an elk hunt. My oldest LOVES mushroom hunting. lol
