MT moose 313-50

Hey guys. My buddy drew Montana moose in 313-50. Anyone have any experience in this unit for moose that can share their experience? Also anyone know of someone to hire to take camp in on horses and come and get us when done? Thought we had this all lined up but fell through with the elk hunts. Couldn’t find any outfitters for this unit either.

Any info would be appreciated and can share info of AZ in return or hunting MX for Coues.

Anyone know of someone with horses for hire to pack in camp and when ready to pack out in the Ennis area? Make it worth their while.

Unit 313 is south of Bozeman, between the Gallatin and Yellowstone rivers, most of the outfitters for that unit are based in out of the paradise valley between Livingston and Gardiner. Castle Rorck outfitters might be able to help on that side; they are good people. Check with the outfitter board, there should be over a dozen others that work unit 313.
On the Gallatin side, Jake’s Horses in Big Sky used to haul an elk out when needed, not sure if they ever hauled camps. They now mostly cater to tourists in Big Sky. The 320 has around 40 horses they use for days rides but they might still pack in hunters/ camps.
