MT Bear Fall Food Sources

I have been living in MT for a few years now and have had the opportunity to knock down a few spring bears, but this year I was not as fortunate and really want to focus and get a fall bear. Since the fall season does not open up until early September for Archery and mid-September for rifle, what are some other main food sources other than huckleberries? My past experience hiking around in the hills is by September most, if not all, of the huckleberries are dried up by that time. Maybe I need to look for areas that still have berries, but what other main food sources would fall bears be on other than carcasses?
