I use the stainless MSR pot. It's a little wobbly, but works great.

it seems like a few guys were using a specific setup that could all pack up in inside itself with rocket too, but ive searched and cant seem to find it now.

Check this out: http://http://www.campsaver.com/titanium-stacking-set

I just got this set and use it with my Soto windmaster stove. It packs up super small and the fuel canister & stove nest inside the pot. Overall weight of the setup is 14.9 ounces including the stove, fuel canister, & pot/cup. I'm assuming the MSR pocket rocket would fit inside this configuration since it is a similar size to the Soto, but I don't have a pocket rocket stove to confirm this.

I use a msr 475 stow away pot. My small isobutane canister fits in it, albeit tight, and can shut the lid. I keep the pocket rocket in its case and all together in a pull out.

I use the same GSI setup as vthokee. It holds my pocket rocket, small fuel canister, and I like how the handle secures the lid. Doesn't rattle around inside either.

When I bought mine at REI, I grabbed a stove and canister off their shelf and started stuffing it in every pot they had. Being able to store everything in the pot was important to me.

def looks like it has the most features , glad to hear it all fits with no noise too

colineman keep us posted when you get that setup too

I used the Pocket Rocket and GSI Halulite pot set for about a year. Then a JetBoil and now an MSR Reactor 1L.

If there is ANY chance of wind, go for the Reactor. Whilst it is perhaps a little heavier and more expensive, it will happily boil water in a few minutes in 30-40km/h winds.

yeah i will have to look into that. but also i have not heard of wind issues with the pocket rocket before though

Just did my first trip this weekend with my Pocket Rocket and Olicamp XTS. 1:23 boil time on 2 cups of water at 11,200ft. I was beyond impressed. The lid on the pot is quite heavy (2-3oz), so you could probably remove some weight by replacing the lid or just using some aluminum foil. The stove with fit inside the pot along with a fuel canister if you take the stove out of the plastic carrying case.

Just a quick vote for the regular ol' Pocket Rocket for your stove. I had no problem boiling water at 14,250ft this past weekend. Granted, it wasn't super cold, but pretty windy and it stayed lit without issue. The pot was the basic GSI Hallulite Dualist (no heat fins or built in windscreen).

For just boiling water, Jetboil SOL. If you might fry something, snow peak 900. PR isn't going to be easy to regulate to low, so you gotta monkey with it while your cooking.

either the pocket rocket or micro rocket are good stoves. I've had both and currently have a micro rocket.mboth stoves favor a larger surface pot, due to the fames spread out. You will get a lot better efficiency with a bit larger pot. I pair mine with the Titan kettle and beet as good of boil times as with my jet boil.
