Many, many threads say that this is impossible.

I ordered a Pintler here to try it because I had a brand new pop up 38 bag/frame. It is the gen 2 frame.

It took me all of about 7 minutes and was 100% plug and play. I hope this helps the next guy who thinks on this subject.

Cool. So no mods at all?

how does it carry?
It was 100% plug and play with minimal problem solving on my part. I haven’t weighted it as I just did it yesterday, but I can’t imagine it’ll carry any worse that the 38 pack on that frame. There are loads of tie downs and the pack sits very tight to the frame.

Cool! The bags on the pop up frames just seem odd to me at times; short zipper tracks, lids that aren’t removable and now newest frame has a bolt in the top of it to attach things to. Knowing a bag I think is super well designed like the pintler makes the frame a little more attractive

Yep. Especially for a guy who didn’t know any better before buying that frame. Puts him in a much better position.

I bought a daypack lid and I’ll throw that on it too. I’m sure it’s impossible but I’ll do it.

Very nice! I’ve been looking at the Terraframe 50 for some overnight backpacking trips and then slap a mule or pintler bag on it for hunting
