MR Pintler w/Kifaru Lid

Just a heads up for your MR guys who own a pack without a lid. I bought a Kifaru lid and was basically able to just clip it in to existing straps. Overall, it’s very clean looking.

This also works with the MR Daypack Lid if you get those same split bar buckles. I got my buckles from Kifaru. You can also rig something up with Kifaru clips.

Is that a new pintler? I just bought a 2019 Pintler bag off camofire (to be here tomorrow ) and was told by an MR rep that you couldn't put a lid on a non MT Pintler bag.

i use a claymore on my guide light Pintler. It works great.

see the buckle(s) on the load lifter?

one is Foliage the other is Coyote(?)...I think ITW makes these buckles.
pack is a Sawtooth 45...doesn't come with a lid...I believe this lid is called Mystery Ranch Alpine Lid

You can do the same to a Pintler

there is enough space to use those ITW buckles to "sneak" it in there for the GL Frame of the Pintler

I believe I bought this pack new in 2018. I had to use the supplied clips from kifaru.

This is a great idea and would add a lot of versatility, especially to a smaller pack.

I'm glad someone tried this as I own a metcalf and looking to try different lid options and have been eyeing kifaru lids, thank you.
