As long as the Metcalf isnt the very first ones with stays integrated the actual pack then YES, it will work. You can attach it to the GL frame. The only difference between the two setups that I'm aware of is in the load shelf connection. The load shelf that came on the pack with a nice frame will connect using buckles. And with a newer one, the load shelf connection to the frame is done with passthroughs. Simply disconnect the buckles and use the original webbing connected to the load shelf to attach to the passthroughs on the frame.
