This pack is kinda squeaky. Enough so that it drives my ADHD insane. Anyone found a solution?

It’s too bad because I love the pack and how it fits.

I found that most of my MR packs had some kind of squeak. Sometimes it was there, sometimes it wasn’t. It could be about either how things are packed in the bag or how the bag is fitted to your body. Watch a few YouTube videos and make sure everything is fitted correctly.

Some packs just squeak. Literally it can be something as small as the fabric on a strap slipping a tiny amount against the foam that’s inside it while under a gently “bouncing” load. Make sure any movement parts are silenced as much as possible, try a wrap of tape or a rag between the pack and straps or hip belt, etc to eliminate what you can, and then address that. At that point if it still squeaks you may have to just live with it or move on.

It was the frame on mine. I chatted with MR and they said “oh yeah. Some are just squeaky and others aren’t.”

I have an Exo K4 in the mail

I noticed mine squeaking too. I didn't notice or pay attention when I was out walking with someone but as soon as I walked by myself I noticed it. Going to have to try some of these solutions. Love the pack otherwise.

I just bought a new Metcalf and I'm having the same issue. It's pretty bad. Bought a Metcalf years ago and didn't have this problem. @ckaz34 did you just rub the vaseline over the top of the fabric? Any particular trick to it?
