MR lid on Kifaru pack?

I'm looking at possibly purchasing a Mystery Ranch daypack lid, the one that comes with the MR Marshall, to try to run with my Kifaru Reckoning on a hunting duplex frame. Anyone ever done it? How'd it work? Does it take a lot of mods? I was thinking I would just swap the buckles out for Kifaru ones, and mount it the same as any Kifaru pack. Thanks!

An ILBE lid is another option. Very reasonable cost, has pals webbing and fairly good volume. They are all marpat camo.

I played with that while i had both packs and it works just fine. I had an older daypack lid so the SR buckles were the same and it just clipped on, im not sure if theyve changed them with the newer ones or not.

That's not a bad idea at all. Do you know if the buckles are compatible, or do I need to purchase some new ones to make it work? Thanks!

The newer MR lid comes with some buckles for adaptation. The kind that clip to a pack. Not sure it would be all you need but it is pretty close. Keep in mind that MR now uses those whacky new buckles instead of standard fastex.

used to use that lid on my argali, but the argali actually had straps for lid attachment. Not familiar with what the reckoning has
