I had no idea Mountain Lions would travel this far in search of their own territory. Pretty cool.

A wandering young lion tracked 558 miles to Mesa Verde

A roaming young mountain lion has arrived at Mesa Verde National Park after traveling 558 miles from central New Mexico, wildlife officials report.

We have had a few of them hit by cars and caught on trail cams in northern Minnesota, the DNA tests show they have mostly come from the Black Hills.

I believe there was a mountain lion found in Connecticut that was born/from in South Dakota. Over 1,000 miles.
