Dredged thru the sticky on mountain boots, ended up reading five pages and learning not much. So I figured I'd just ask.
Currently using cabelas miendels alaska boots. Very stiff, come in wider sizes and my instep crampons fit. But the boots always leak and I usualkynonly get one or two falls out of them. They are specific u used for goat
And sheep hunts. Any other hunt is knee high rubber boots.
Looking at hanwags,
Schee granite, lows sheep hunters, any others I should check. Scarpa and zamberland are to narrow for me. Need to be stiff for the sidehilling with a load on.
What's everyone's experience with this specific application?

I like the Lowa Sheep Hunters and they last for a long time. I live in Fairbanks, Alaska and just bought me and my son (13 wide) new Lowa Sheep Hunters from Beaver Sports. They have last year models marked down to $299.
