Hey guys,

After months of research I'm finally getting ready to pull the trigger on a Sawtooth for my Colorado elk hunting needs. I'm kind of on the fence about whether I should get the optional bug netting. Personally I think I can make due without it, but my wife keeps reminding me that we have hunted in some areas where the skeeters were bad some years. My main question is how much weight does the netting add, does anyone know? I can't find a number anywhere. If it's just a couple ounces I might as well add it.

Thanks,
Jess

I have the bug netting on both doors of my 8 man tipi. They came with the tipi and I didn't think I would like them but leaving the doors open when the weather is nice without battling those pesky blood suckers is awesome. One door netting for mine weighs 6.6oz.

i have it for my Sawtooth. weighs only a few ounces and is great for warm clear nights sleeping with the door open. in the late seasons when the bugs are dead, you just leave it at home. I totally recommend it.

Thanks for the weights. It seems like a no-brainer so I bought it with the netting. I can't wait to set this thing up!

Mine attaches to Velcro that is sewn in on either side of the door. Not sure but since they sell the bug netting seperately I would think all shelters are set up to accept it but it's worth a call to them to verify.
