More hiking pants from Costco

So I went to Costco yesterday for my weekly visit. While looking through the men's clothes, I found some pants that looked to be perfect for hiking. These are a convertible pant made by a company called BC Clothing, the pants are 73% cotton, 24% nylon, and 3$ spandex. They are loaded with pockets, come with a built in belt, as well as belt loops, and came in khaki, army green, and gray if I remember correctly. Paid $20 for them, seem to be very comfortable, I'll probably use them this next weekend.

I have to return a pair of shorts that didn't fit, so may be forced to pick up another pair of these this weekend.

This. I am slowly trying to purge all cotton from my wardrobe. I sweat a lot and on a hot day in the summer cotton clothing just gets soaked and doesn't dry.

I will say that the Rainier Costco pants are fantastic for the price. I bought one in each color and absolutely love them. Thanks to all for posting about them on here.

I just bought some shorts a Costco. The brand is Gerry and although I haven't had a chance to wear them yet the stretch material feels awesome. Might be going back for more.

I agree with you on the cotton, I don't normally wear cotton clothing while backpacking, but these seemed pretty nice, and for $20 I couldn't pass them up. I also got a pair of the Gerry shorts, but have to take them back, kind of weird sizing, I'm usually between a 32" or 34" waist, bought the 34" and they are huge! I agree though, really nice short, like the material and the design.

The Costco's out west must carry a lot things we dont here in the Midwest, I was at our Costco here in Ky. today and they had nothing like these pants or shorts, dident have the UB pants that was on here or the 700 fill down blanket and none of the carbon walking stix. I got a 1/4 pound hot dog & 20oz Mt.Dew for a buck fifty thought.

I'm sure they would be great if you weren't a heavy sweater like me. Some guys seem to barely sweat in even the hotest weather. Unfortunately I am cursed with an internal thermostat that hates the heat. If I am active on a hot summer day wearing cotton shirt and shorts I will look like I took a shower with my clothes on.

I read some reviews on the Gerry shirts that complained about variances in sizing. I just bought one pair and they fit great. Wore them all day today and I love the stretch fabric. Very comfortable and breathable. I will be going back to puck up a couple more pair. Hopefully the sizing is consistent. Damn good short for $15.

My Costco didn't have the UB pants either, I ended up finding them on ebay for $18 a pair shipped. Some things you can find on their website also.

I have many pairs of gucci type pants, kuiu attacks, sitka mountain pants but I wear my three pairs of these same costco pants all the time and beat the hell out of them up here. They are well made at $20 you cant go wrong, they do dry firly fast. Mine are BC clothing and are 98% nylon, 2 spandex though but they look identical to yOurs and got at costco.

You called it on the sizing. I bought two more pair my size and one fit great (same color as the first pair, grey) and the second pair (tan) was a good 2 inches too big.

I had a few of these pants for quite a few years. They have been out in Canada for a long time. There is 2 styles; the cotton style and not sure if they make them any more, but there used to be a nylon style.

If they are the cotton style, they are NOT good pants for the bush; baggy, will get heavy when wet and although they have a lot of pockets, they almost have too many pockets and don't last that long

The zippers are Ok, but they do fall apart if you keep using them, the thighs do wear out ( I am on my 3rd pair of the cotton ones) but for $20, you can't go wrong for travel/light outdoor pants.

What they are good for are travelling between hot and cool places, they are my boat fishing and camping pants.

If they are the nylon style, then they are great for the bush and are pretty tough, just not sure if they make them any more.
