Love the looks of the uero mounts especially on a big moose. I'll be going to bethel in 2023 for my first AK moose hunt and am planning on doing a euro if I'm successful. Already getting pumped up about it and it's a year away....lol.

Probably will bring out the cape and sell it as others suggested.

Wish all of you going this year good luck!!

Here’s one I did for a friend. Antlers were in a corner of his barn gathering dust for years

Here’s mine. 60” bull. While I think it looks awesome I would definitely think twice before shoulder mounting again! I don’t have room for it in my current house, but will someday hopefully! For size reference it basically takes up a 5 foot square area. 5’ wide 5’ tall and 5’ out from the wall. If you do go with a shoulder mount I’d highly recommend making the antlers removable. Otherwise you probably won’t be getting it through a standard 36” door…BF65F6AA-0ACC-4A69-B0CA-546277358D5F.jpeg

I would say that a shop may not be the best to go as they just don’t stay very clean. Euro mounts look nice but I agree with you on doing all the hard work and getting no cape. I would go for the full mount!

I went with a pedestal mount and detachable antlers since this was my first and a 64” bull too. But definitely hope to be fortunate enough to kill a couple more and love euros for a next one.

I’ve always been a big fan of shoulder mounts and only recently (the last few years), started getting into euros, so I don’t have too many just yet. Like what’s already been said, a moose makes for a pretty big shoulder mount, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you don’t have a big enough space to display it.
