I'm in this boat for Maine.

Headed up in a few weeks.

None of the processors I've talked to want to ship.

When I was in Montana it was par for the course.

I may spend my last day up there at the UPS store.

I just got back from Alberta and brought all my moose meat, skull and horns across the border. We made sure we had no bone in meat nor any soft tissue. We had no problem, I'm sure you can ship it.

Kansas shows 32 hours
We were 21 hrs about from here in MN to where we were. Basically did a 15hr day then a 6hr day. 32 hrs is getting long for sure but it was nice to have all the meat frozen and within 30minutes of walking through the front door at home it was put away and no worries. I also killed a nice Bull Elk along with my moose so I have A LOT of meat.

I don't see a reason you couldn't just check a cooler of frozen meat at the airport. Backstraps and TLoins. Get a copy of the import paper for meat and trophies and have it filled out for customs.

Hard part would be if you killed one say last day and had to try and coordinate shipping then. I would call your outfitter and ask them on the shipping part.

I am still trying to decide outfitter part,There are several outfitters in NFL that on their trophy hunts shoot some nice bulls but still wonder if quality is better in Alberta. Was your hunt 1x1

My hunt was 2x1...but I know he does a couple 1x1 specific hunts (I believe they are rifle hunts...including one during the rut). I think quality is more dependent on location, time of year, and outfitter. I shot a 40" bull with my bow and for that area it is a really nice bull...I know the other area/areas he hunts for rifle or "trophy" hunts killing an upper 40s to 50" bull is pretty doable. But that is 1 outfitter in one area. I know a friend of ours did more of a fly in remote hunt and him and his son killed bulls in the mid 50's with rifles.

But I have been on exactly 1 moose hunt. I have been at this outfitters place 3 times and my dad 4 times and would recommend him without question.
