Montana Unit 314

We are only here for 7 weeks and have the opportunity to get a cow tag in 314. It’s worth it to me to just try, especially during general season, but can anyone make sense for me of where I am allowed to hunt? For example, I see on onX the Gallatin range, but this hyalite porcupine Buffalo horn wilderness study area, is that just normal Public that we can hunt?

Any advice is sincerely appreciated.

Always worth it to go hunting! I'd make sure you have the right tags....call MT FWP. Within the same unit, some tags are only good certain times and places. I don't know about that unit

It’s not Wyoming so you can hunt designated wilderness areas. You can hunt anywhere your tag is legal that isn’t private. Good luck!!!
