Yep, you did not misread this title. Pics of California quail that I took. BTW, these are non-indigenous birds in MT. There is no closed hunting season. No bag limits, etc per MT hunting regulations. Interesting enough. MTG

I know fwp shows them in the Bitterroot but I assumed they were all on private land without much access. Cool birds either way.

They are all over the bitterroot. You can find them on state land often.
