Monocular for hiking

HI all, I'm looking for advice on small & cheaper monocular to throw in my hiking/skiing pack for times I don't want to carry full binoculars. Is something like the Vortex Solo 8x25 the best bet for something small, cheaper and portable?

I have a Vortex solo in 8x32 I believe. The ergo's are pretty good on it and the glass is ok for the price. I also have the Maven monocular which is definitely a better-quality piece, but pricier and the focus wheel is a little on the stiff side.

I wound up buying a Hawke Endurance 8x25 and think it is sufficicent. Nothing outstanding but light enough to throw in the pack most times I'm out and about without my binos.
