Has anyone ever done this? I have fixed a lot of parts and stuff with fiberglass sheets and epoxy. I see you can buy some carbon fiber sheets on amazon for a reasonable price. I just ordered a new stock and want to modify the grip by adding material. I am considering trying to wrap it in carbon fiber after adding filling material to try and blend in with the rest of the stock. It might be stupid and unnecessary, but I’ll considering trying it.

Go check out the diy section. There’s lots of stock mods going on and some people building carbon stocks from scratch right now. I’m in the same boat with wanting a modified grip. I’ll probably be doing it sooner than later.

Just ran into your post because I'm thinking of doing the exact same thing. I want to add material on the grip because I feel it's too far back/ angled too much. Have you made any progress on this or found a similar post on here to guide you? I'm looking to order materials here soon and get to work on the stock.

I have not yet. I have been recommended Free Form Air which is an epoxy putty to form the grip. I am going to do that first and also I may text it for durability on something else to see if there is a need to wrap it. I also have fiberglass that I could use instead of carbon fiber and press that into some epoxy. But, I am planning on testing all of that on a piece of wood prior to using it on my stock.

Any update on this? I’m wanting to extend the grip of my stock but I’m not sure how to attach it to the bottom of the existing grip.
My grip is a bit short and I would like to extend just the bottom but I’m afraid the free form air won’t just stick to the bottom and I feel it would be necessary to add some mechanical fasteners such as holes or screws for the new epoxy to grip to.

Any recommendations on this?

You are gripping that gun with less than ideal positioning, move your hand higher to allow a more perpendicular trigger pull angle
