Not beating a dead bush. But with the 169gr and 177gr smk,174gr eld vt, 176gr A tip. Might be a few others as well. Can the 308 be used in PRS and have any gains using these new bullets over using the tried and true 168gr or 175gr ? 10 twist 90 freebore chamber.

I’d say no. You won’t gain much with them. You can push a 308 pretty hard if you want some
More range or a bit flatter trajectory. Out to 600m I love the 155gr amax. The 168/178gr stuff is pretty good for further shots.

Try the 155 Lapua Scenars. You definately have the barrel length. If you can stoke up a load close to 3000 fps, they will get you to 1000 yards.

My Tikka T3 Lite 308 runs the 155's over 47 g Varget at 2860, my 20" CTR runs 47.5 g Varget at 2840. I could prob use faster powders, but Varget gave me the best ES SD
