My buddy keeps sending me hunts from The Rack in MO for turkey. Anyone have any experience or information on them? I have been looking online but it’s either a new operation or have no reviews. Thanks

Don’t know that outfit in particular, but used to live in Kirksville and have hunted real close to there quite a bit. Both turkey and deer. I can say turkey numbers are way down in that neighborhood over the last decade or so. Doesn’t mean you won’t be able to kill one.

I live in Kirksville and never heard of them. Course I dont hunt with guides around here so that doesnt mean much.
Turkey numbers are way down from what they used to be. Not saying you cant kill one, especially if your paying for private land guided hunts, but its not like your gonna hear 20 gobblers in the morning anymore. Worse, the ones that gobble typically gobble less than 5 times then stop. Its tough hunting now, not impossible, but tough.

Turkeys haven't been the problem in MO for me it's the damn tornadoes. The last 3 years in a row my camp has been literally blown away. Last year it took me and 3 rangers about 6hrs to cut our way back in to retrieve what was left of my camp. SNAKEBIT BAD in MO. can't get the monkey off my back.

I have property near the Cannon dam and I only deer hunt it during the rifle season. I don't think I've seen a turkey in 10 years or so. There used to be tons of them and I killed a pile of them when I still lived there.

Cannon dam on salt river?

Dang I wish you owed me a favor lol. That's a pretty area. I've hunted across the river in Illinois for years(Pittsfield area). Some Great crappie fishing in Mark Twain also.
