Drew a ML deer tag in CO. New to the ML game. Mainly a archery and rifle hunter.

I am looking for advice on what bullets, powder, primers to use. I will be shooting a TC omega.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have always had the best luck with the green powerbelts (295gr) with TC. My Triumph didn't like Great Plains at all. CO regs state that you can't use sabots, but powerbelts are okay. 50cal+. No powder pellets. Iron sight only.

Most prefer BH209 powder. I am still using Triple Seven FFG at 100g. Primers I just use Winchester, but I have never heard of a 209 of any brand failing.

I would try some Thor bullets. I had an Omega & it shot Thor 250 grain bullets and blackhorn 209 really well. This combination grouped the best out of my Omega. I tried a few different bullet & powder combinations. Also used Winchester W209 primers.

Thanks to all who responded, so after researching, i would like so opinions on this combination: BH 209 power, 75-100 grains, 209A shotshell primers, Thor 250 grain ballistic tip? I have just gotten the sample pack in the mail and determined my omega is .501. any advise or suggestions would be welcomed and is this combination CO legal? Thanks.

Yup it's legal, only thing not are sabots and a scope. Get a peep and fiber optic site and your set.

Peeps are legal. I have an omega and put a peep sight on it. It made a huge difference for me accuracy wise. Much easier to shoot than traditional iron sights. I also shot Blackhorn 209 with good results.
