I wonder if anyone ever said "you know, Buck knives make a fine blade, but I hate the way they advertise in Outdoor Life and Field & Stream"

There’s been lots of drama within the knife community with MKC everything from Josh’s character, fit/finish of the knives, company related, and if they are even what they say they are (HRC,etc). There are many good reasons to get knives from custom makers from more precise heat treats, better geometry, better grinding practices, etc. If there wasn’t a big difference I wouldn’t be making knives (I’m deer rock knives by the way). Lots of great options out there for the same price as these MKC knives. @CypressCreek , Simon stonehocker, @Dixie, and so many more.

Ruana knives in Bonner Montana makes some great knives. I have two and each of my son's has one. These I am listing are my favorites out of the knives that they make. I like a 3-4" blade as that seems to me to be a sweet spot on size. Not too big but not too small.
Steelhead: 3 1/2" blade. Nice blade shape and handle is very comfortable. Easy to sharpen and holds and edge well.

5AD: 4" blade. Nice drop point blade shape and handle. Feels good in the hand.

95AD: 4 1/4" blade length drop point blade. I like the handle also. I do not have this knife but have sharpened one for a fellow who has one. He really likes it as did I just handling it.
