Missouri public land

Lived in MO my whole life and hunted all over the state over the years.
The others are right, the CA get hit hard during later Oct and Early Nov.
I personally do not rifle hunt on public and have a lot close to my house. Just because of the amount of people.
I do Archery hunt it some here and there. But finding a place of your own where you are not running into to people plan on taking a walk a long way from the road or parking area.
One area that my family used to hunt a lot I went to last year. In the past there was never hardly anyone there.
When I went last year I had 5 trucks in the same parking lot I was camped out in. And this was in the late season during Alternative season. It was a bit much for me and I didn't stay long at all.

There are some good deer in MO. But our Conservation Dept did some (in my opinion) dirty stuff last year with deer kills around my area. A lot of very unhappy people about it also.

Not sure how much pressure the Corps of Engineers ground gets around Pomme De Terre or Truman Lakes, but there are some decent bucks around them.
