Missouri Breaks Tactics

My buddy and I drew tags for the breaks this year. I was pumped! I use to hunt the breaks in the late 90’s when I was in high school. Unfortunately the rain moved in before we could get in and I had to settle for a few hunts starting from the highway. We abandoned our hunt and headed to the mountains by day two. Not sure if I’ll burn points on a breaks hunt again in the future.

weather can pretty much ruin that hunt unless you have a boat to move you around if it rains. and heat seems to make it super tough too. Not sure ill be going back to the breaks unless i have a solid 10 days to burn and chase deer and elk both.

I know a MT res that jet boats up the river many miles to get away from the riff raff.....
