i'd leave it alone. shorter arrow = stiffer spine. more weight a the tip = weaker dynamic spine. more weight in the nock = stiffer dynamic spine.


10gr over the length of the arrow is not that significant. when concentrated at the front or rear of the arrow you may start to see a shift in point of impact. after you stretch out the range to around 200 yards you'll need to account for those 10 grains but most folks don't have to worry about that.

Yeah, I'm probably not quite good enough yet to tell. Going to give it a try before I worry. The old arrows have the inserts glued in already so can't cut them. Going to set up one of the new ones the same as the old and give it a go. I do have one arrow now from a previous batch that is 3 gr lighter than the others and it is pretty close to them. It is the one that will be high by an inch or so but it may be my imagination.
Thanks for the input.

Remove the nicks and cut the old ones from the nock end of the shaft to make them same length.
