So I’ve started tinkering and have been reducing my COL with this load.

80.5 grains of H1000
175 LRX
300 WM
FGMM magnum primers.

I have reduced the COL to 3,30 from the recommended 3.34. Accuracy and velocity are great.

At what point does this get dangerous? My assumption is that I’m already compressing the powder.

I don’t think you need to worry about a pressure spike or something like that, pressure is just going to go up steadily as you seat deeper into the case. You'll either get pressure signs or the bullet falls into the case. Barnes load data for the 300WM 175 LRX is 3.36, not 3.34, but the Hodgon manual has the 180 E-Tip at 79.4C for the max h1000 with 3.34 and says 62,400 PSI. So you're probably close or a bit over max now, and fairly compressed. I don't think there are any dangers outside of a typical hot load from being seated deeper than COL. If you go the other direction, and get up against the lands, then you've got a point at which you will go up by like 5k-7k PSI.
