Mini 14 build.

Looking at having a mini 14 built. Do not want it to be 223. Looking at 25-45 sharps, 6x45, and 300 HAMMR. I will be reloading for it so factory ammo isn’t much of a concern. Leaning towards the 25-45 because I have 25 creed and a 25-06 in bolt guns. And have some light bullets (75-85gr) that the bolt guns don’t shoot well. But please talk me into one or the other. Will mainly be carried in my vehicle and coyote hunting with some deer hunting.

Why?

Honestly with the ar-15 options for something that's about the same, I just don't see the why?

I have one factory chambered in 6.8 SPC that has killed a bunch of Blacktail deer here in Alaska. They didn't make many but I bet you could find one for sale if you look hard enough.

The OP must already know that an AR-15 will be cheaper, easier, and far superior from a performance perspective. That said, sometimes people just want to be different.

I have had both in the AR platform, they both serve their purpose. killed lots of Texas whitetails with 25x45 Sharps. The 300 Ham'r is a hammer on deer also. No noticeable recoil difference until you step up t the 150's in the Ham'r. I would build the 300 Ham'r with Wilson's Ruger kit and your Mini in the 25x45..
