I know this forum is more geared towards hunting suppressors but what do you guys think of the suppressor chosen by the Canadian military special forces? Pretty interesting design!

It is ugly. Not much information available on it, but looks to have decent sound reduction for minimal additional length. It also appears to be two parts, a "flash hider" that reduces dB and a "suppressor" that reduces dB further.

Both parts are in this image.

"Canada’s commitment to “buying Canadian”"
Rather ignorant.

Canada pioneered the digital camo patterns, the world laughed, then it was so obviously superior at a large war games exercise that the US Marines bought the rights to one of the patterns Canada rejected. The Marine pattern is great in the visual spectrum, but fails in the infrared spectrum, which is why Canada rejected it.

It took the US military years to catch up, and the implementation of some very stupid camo patterns (Army ACUs, Air Force digital tiger stripes, Navy blue digital camo) and the Marine woodland pattern remains sub par against a technologically advanced enemy.

Moral of the story, don't write off Canadian military testing out of hand. Perhaps in this case they made a poor choice, but you need details to make that argument.

When the countries first priority is made in Canada over what is best for the military. They are ignorant, not someone that questions their choice. Every country on earth has developed something, that don't necessarily make worthwhile.

No, it says very little. Most countries try to support their own industrial base with military purchases whenever possible and try to score political points by highlighting home purchases.

It says nothing about the product being either good or bad. But, it is a typical Red Herring argument used to avoid actual discussion while pretending to add value.

Well OK, lets talk about their fighter planes, or maybe their anti missile missiles, Combat tanks? Better yet, how about their maple syrup.
